Ananthavilasam Palace

Built by King Vishakam Thirunal in 1880, the Ananthavilasam Palace differs totally from other palaces inside the Fort Area. The architecture of this palace is highly influenced by western architectural styles, especially the Baroque and Rococo styles. The building is supported in front by eight Corinthian columns. The second floor is accessed by two flights of stairs. The entire building is lavishly embellished with floral motifs.
