Malaka Spice was founded in 1997 by the couple Praful and Cheeru Chandawarkar, establishing itself as an inspired Southeast Asian Restaurant in the bylanes of Koregaon Park, Pune. The restaurant represents a story born from passion, dedication, and a realized dream.

Praful, having transitioned from a career as an investment banker, joined his wife Cheeru, a talented chef, to pursue their ambition of opening a restaurant. Their extensive travels across Southeast Asia allowed them to gather the best culinary aspects from each region, which they integrated into carefully developed recipes. Today, Malaka Spice operates multiple outlets across India and is recognized for its inspired Southeast Asian cuisine, warm ambiance, and exceptional service. The founders' dedication to creating a unique dining experience, beyond just the food, continues to inspire and delight their customers.
